Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation

On July 1, 2014, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) will come into effect. This legislation is being enacted to halt the sending of spam and will change the way organizations stay in touch with their members.

The Government of Canada is instituting strict guidelines that ensure that organizations obtain consent from the person to which they are sending information to.
