CPRS Luncheon: Reputational risk management on Nov. 19

Members, non-members and students are invited to join CPRS-NL for a luncheon with Kim West, APR, Fellow-CPRS, Principal, MT&L Public Relations.

Kim will be talking about unlocking the secrets to reputational risk management. She’ll speak about what organizations must do to confront perilous challenges to their reputation from within and from external forces. Kim will share what they’re dealing with and how communicators can take a leadership role in assessing and mitigating risk.

Join us at the Fluvairum on Monday, Nov. 19. Networking starts at noon, with lunch starting at 12:20 p.m., followed by Kim’s presentation. We’ll wrap up by 1:30 p.m.

About Kim West:

Kim is a partner at MT&L Public Relations Ltd., a leading public relations firm that
serves regional, national and international clients from offices in Halifax, Saint John,
and St. John’s.

With more than 20 years of experience in marketing communications, reputation
management, and media, government and stakeholder relations. She is active in the
resource and energy sectors, helping companies achieve the social license to operate
while being able to compete globally and grow their businesses.

Kim is a director of the Halifax Grammar School, serves on the Board of Governors
of St. F.X. University, and is a member of the International Women’s Forum-Atlantic
Chapter. She is a past director of many other community and business associations,
including the IWK Health Centre and CAA Maritimes and a past chair of the board of
the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.

Kim is certified by the U.S.-based Institute for Crisis Management and the
International Association of Public Participation (IAP2), is an accredited member
of the Canadian Public Relations Society, and has been inducted into the CPRS-
Canadian College of Fellows.
